✦ Microneedling

Refine Texture. Stimulate Collagen. Rejuvenate Naturally.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, uses fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the body’s natural repair response. This process stimulates new collagen and elastin production — key components of smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin.

At Lumière Aesthetics, we exclusively use the FDA-cleared SkinPen® Precision device — the first microneedling system cleared by the FDA — ensuring gold-standard safety and results. Each procedure is performed with sterile, single-use cartridges and adheres to manufacturer-approved, on-label treatment protocols.

Ideal Candidates

Microneedling is an excellent choice for clients who:

  • Want to improve skin texture, tone, and early signs of aging

  • Are looking for a minimally invasive, natural collagen-boosting treatment

  • Have mild to moderate acne scars, enlarged pores, or uneven skin tone

  • Prefer non-laser options for skin refinement

  • Are in overall good health with no active infections or chronic skin conditions

  • Wish to maintain or enhance results from other treatments like PRF, SkinVive, or neurotoxins

What to Expect

Each session begins with gentle cleansing and application of a topical numbing cream to ensure comfort. The SkinPen® Precision device is then passed across the skin at a customized depth, creating controlled microchannels that stimulate collagen remodeling.

After treatment, the skin typically appears pink to red — similar to a mild sunburn — and may feel tight, warm, or slightly sensitive for 24 to 72 hours. Most clients return to normal activities within 1 to 2 days. A noticeable improvement in skin texture and glow is often seen within 1 to 2 weeks, with continued enhancement over time as collagen builds.

Optional enhancements such as PRP, PRF, or topical exosomes may be applied during or after treatment to elevate results and accelerate recovery.

Recommended Treatment Series

✧A series of 3 to 6 sessions spaced approximately 4 to 6 weeks apart is typically recommended to achieve optimal results. Maintenance treatments every 3 to 6 months can help preserve improvements in skin texture, tone, and overall radiance.

Series packages are available and may include optional enhancements..

✦ PRP / PRF Rejuvenation Therapy

Restorative Therapies for Skin and Hair, Backed by Regenerative Science

A subtle and sophisticated way to enhance collagen, radiance, and hair density. At Lumière Aesthetics, we offer advanced regenerative treatments using your own biologically active platelets and growth factors to naturally rejuvenate the skin, restore hair density, and refresh delicate areas like the under-eyes. These advanced therapies use your own biologically active components to support natural collagen production.

We offer both Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) options depending on your treatment goals and response profile.

✧ The Difference Between PRP and PRF?

Both Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) are regenerative therapies that use your own blood-derived growth factors to stimulate collagen, improve skin tone and texture, and enhance cellular repair. While they are often used interchangeably, PRF is considered the more advanced, second-generation option—with a few key differences:

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

  • Processed at a higher spin speed, which separates more plasma from red blood cells

  • Contains platelets and some growth factors, but also anticoagulants, which prevent clotting

  • Immediate release of growth factors—results are effective but more short-lived

  • Useful for hair restoration, skin quality, or as a booster for microneedling

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)

  • Processed at a lower spin speed, allowing for a more natural concentration of platelets, white blood cells, and stem cells

  • No anticoagulants—which means it forms a soft fibrin matrix that releases growth factors slowly over 7–10 days

  • Longer-lasting regenerative effect

  • Ideal for under-eye rejuvenation, fine lines, scars, and volume improvement

✦ Summary

Think of PRP as the "original" regenerative serum and PRF as the next-generation, slower-releasing option that offers more sustained collagen stimulation and tissue repair. At Lumière Aesthetics, we offer both options and will recommend the most appropriate one based on your treatment area, goals, and biological response.

✧ What To Expect

Your visit begins with a simple blood draw. The sample is processed in a specialized centrifuge to isolate PRP or PRF, depending on your treatment plan. Topical numbing cream is used to enhance comfort. The serum is delicately injected into targeted areas using precise, technique-sensitive placement.

  • Downtime: Mild swelling, redness, or bruising may occur for 24–48 hours

  • Results: Improvements emerge gradually over several weeks as collagen production, skin tone, or hair density begins to enhance

✧ Potential Benefits

  • Under-Eye Rejuvenation: Diminish dark circles, soften hollows, and improve crepey skin

  • Skin Texture & Radiance: Support smoother, more refined texture and a healthy glow

  • Fine Line Softening: Especially around the eyes, mouth, and cheeks

  • Collagen Stimulation: Encourage long-term improvement in firmness and elasticity

  • Hair Restoration: Stimulate thinning or shedding areas of the scalp for improved density

  • Acne & Surgical Scarring: Reduce the visibility of scars when used as part of a series

  • Post-Treatment Recovery: Enhance healing and results when combined with microneedling or energy-based devices

  • Very Subtle Improvement in Skin Thickness and Tissue Density: Especially beneficial in delicate areas like the under-eyes

  • Improved Skin Tone: Address dullness, early sun damage, and general skin fatigue

  • No Synthetic Fillers or Foreign Substances: A fully autologous approach to aesthetic rejuvenation

✧ Ideal Candidates

PRP and PRF rejuvenation therapies are well-suited for individuals seeking subtle, regenerative improvements using their body’s own restorative factors. Ideal for:

  • Early signs of aging, dullness, or skin thinning

  • Tired or mildly hollow under-eye areas

  • Diffuse, non-scarring hair thinning or postpartum hair shedding

  • Patients preferring non-synthetic, minimally invasive treatments for skin quality enhancement

✧ Not Recommended For

PRP and PRF treatments are not appropriate for individuals with the following conditions:

  • Active local or systemic infection (including skin infections at treatment site)

  • Blood or bleeding disorders (e.g., thrombocytopenia, hemophilia)

  • Platelet dysfunction syndromes or very low platelet counts

  • Autoimmune conditions in active flare (e.g., lupus, rheumatoid arthritis)

  • Current use of anticoagulants or antiplatelet medications that cannot be paused (e.g., warfarin, clopidogrel)

  • Active malignancy or undergoing chemotherapy/radiation

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding (due to limited safety data and healing variability)

  • History of keloid formation or hypertrophic scarring in the treatment area

  • Uncontrolled metabolic conditions, such as poorly managed diabetes

✧ Recommended Series

PRP and PRF treatments work gradually, with results building as collagen production, tissue remodeling, and follicular stimulation occur over time. For best outcomes, most patients benefit from a structured series:

  • Facial and under-eye rejuvenation: A series of 3 to 4 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance every 6 to 12 months

  • Hair restoration protocols: A series of 4 to 6 treatments spaced monthly, with maintenance every 3 to 6 months depending on severity and response

Treatment plans are customized based on your goals, baseline skin or hair condition, and response over time.
